Tigerair Announces Cheap Flights Between Brisbane And Perth
Tigerair will become the first low cost carrier to operate services between Brisbane and Perth, with flights starting next June.
An initial fare of $99 one way will be on offer, rising to an average of $189.
There will be an additional A320 based in Brisbane to conduct the flights, with another 50 jobs created for pilots, cabin crew and ground staff.
“We’ve had a good look at it, and we think it’ll be a great addition to the route structure in Brisbane,” Tigerair CEO Rob Sharp told News Corp.
“It’s quite a late service, leaving at 7pm and arriving about 11.30pm so it’s perfect for people to catch some sleep.”
Tigerair has also announced a new service between Brisbane and the Whitsundays beginning in March 2017. Flights will operate four times a week, with fares starting at $49.
