Bad News For Tourists In Thailand: No More Partying!

Tourists in Thailand are devastated after all nightlife has been shut down for a month.
The Thai government announced a one year mourning period after Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadek died from an illness last week at 88 years old. As part of this, all nightlife has been cancelled for a month including full moon parties.
October marks peak season for Thailand, with up to three million tourists heading there to party in the notorious red light districts. Westerners in the country have been asked to ‘respect the feelings’ of locals during this period of mourning, urged to ditch their bikinis and shorts for ‘muted, subdued clothing”.
The infamous strip bars and brothels in Bangkok have been forced to close indefinitely, as alcohol sales could be banned for up to 30 days.
