Thousands apply for Far North Wildlife Sanctuary

Applications have streamed in from all over the world for someone to take over a Ravenshoe wildlife sanctuary.

Eagle's Nest Owner Harry Kunz offered to give it away for free if someone agreed to continue his life's work.

Around 6 thousand people have put their hand up, from around Australia and as far from Romania, Canada and Colombia.

But he's warned them that the job is tougher than they realise, he's given each applicant a description of what it entails like having to kill rats and chickens to feed other animals.
