Qld man bitten twice by snake days apart

They say lightning doesn't strike twice but it would seem that rule doesn't apply to snakes, after a teenager was bitten twice in the same location up north.

The Brisbane Times reports the 18-year-old contractor was nipped on the leg while clearing scrub on a property west of Rockhampton on Friday morning.

On Sunday he went back to work in the same paddock when he was bitten twice on his arm as he put down his chainsaw. He was airlifted to Mackay base Hospital both times.

The teen didn't get a good look at either reptile so they haven't been identified.
