$50M Apple Store For Melbourne
10 years of talks and they could choose Melbourne
Get your iPhone’s ready Melbourne – we could be about to get a $50 million marquee store - smack bang in the middle of the city!
The tech giant is reportedly about to wrap up three-year-long talks with the state government, to get a brand new Apple mega-store built in Federation Square.
Bosses of the technology brand have apparently been scouring out a destination for more than a decade, deciding the ‘most liveable city’ Melbourne, could be the perfect place to set up shop.
They want to take over and demolish the Yarra building in the square, replacing it with a $50 million see-through glass – just like the flagship New York ‘cube’ store.
